General Manager,
CPC Direct

We're looking for someone to run the day-to-day of CPC Direct — every app, every service — with good systems doing much of the heavy lifting. You'll build a small team behind you, take the business to profitable by month 13, and grow into running it independently. You'll be the face of the company. This first step is done entirely here: a few questions, a short written exercise, and a voice pitch you record in your browser. Set aside about 30 minutes.

There's a good amount of writing, so a proper keyboard will make this much easier on you — and keep your phone to hand for looking around our sites as you go. What this role is

CPC Direct is a digital business-development company. We build and run our own products — Taxplify, Legaltice, Native Platter and DidiCommune — and deliver digital services to other businesses, alongside our work with Access Emerging Markets. The General Manager runs all of it, day to day.

Run everything, day to day. Across every CPC Direct app and service — launches, delivery, customers, and the reporting that shows how we're doing.
Get us profitable by month 13 — and keep us there.
Run a lean, systems-driven operation. Much of the routine work here is handled by software rather than people, so you should be comfortable with tools, and quick to pick up new ones.
Build the team behind you. You decide who you need, and when.
Be the face of the company. Clear, articulate and credible with clients and partners.

The package: salary + commission + profit-sharing, so you share directly in what you build. You work from home — all equipment is provided, including transport to meetings. This is a thinking job, not a routine one: real ownership, and real upside if you deliver.

Running the business

1. Here's something we actually think about. *Say we sell a service for ₦500,000, and it costs us around ₦300,000 to deliver it. Our running costs are about ₦200,000 a month. How many would we need to sell in a month before we're genuinely making money — and what would you change to make that easier? Rough thinking is fine, we're not testing your arithmetic.

2. Picture month four. *Sales are slower than we hoped, and I've gone off-grid for two weeks — genuinely unreachable. What do you get on with while I'm away?

3. Think of something you genuinely love. Optional but recommended — one of our products, a business you admire, even your favourite spot to eat. Now tell a friend in Abuja who's never heard of it why they should try it. Just write it the way you'd actually say it out loud.

1. What this is

This page is the first stage of hiring for the General Manager role at CPC Direct. Taking part is free and entirely voluntary, and you can stop at any point before you submit.

2. What we collect

Required: your name, gender, and one contact detail (email or phone).

A voice recording you make in your browser. It is audio only; no video or image of you is captured, and your camera is never accessed.
How this page is used. We use a session-analytics tool (Microsoft Clarity) that records page activity — clicks, scrolling, how long you spend on each step, and whether text was typed or pasted. It helps us improve the page and satisfy ourselves that an application was genuinely completed by the person applying.
